H20 MAXI-FLO Undersink Filter GACThe H20 MAXI-FLO under sink inline filtration unit employs state of the art technologies, KDF™ filtration media (copper-zinc) and GAC, granular activated coconut shell carbon. Copper and zinc are proven effective in removing chlorine and reducing lead and other heavy metals.
And, by initially removing chlorine from the water, the KDF™ copper-zinc component extends the removal capacity of the granular activated coconut shell carbon. Copper and zinc are bacteriostatic and will prevent algae, fungus, and bacterial growth in the filter.
Granular Activated Carbon is proven to be an excellent media for the filtration of water borne chemicals such as chlorine, trihalomethanes, and VOCs (volatile organic contaminants) including herbicides and pesticides. Stage 1 – 5 micron reticulated poly foam filter pad (a human hair is approximately 70 microns) removes dirt, sand, and grit particles.
Stage 2 – 3.5 pounds KDF™ copper-zinc granules removes chlorine, lead, and heavy metals.
Stage 3 – 5 micron reticulated poly foam filter pad removes particulates greater than 5 micrones and separates the KDF™ copper-zinc media and GAC components.
Stage 4 – 3.5 ounds GAC (granular activated carbon) made from coconut shells removes VOCs (volatile organic contaminants) including THMs (trihalomethanes), herbicides, and pesticides.
